2 Questions in 1, here, kinda like 2 birds 1 stone I guess,

    Question 1:

Is it possible to start up your own VOIP service, like vonage/primus has but on a much smaller scale. Where all hardware is in house, you do not contract anything out etc...how do you get local numbers? Is this even possible, I am assuming it is since Primus, Vonage and many others have popped up in recent years.

    Question 2:

I have read lots about the entire calling card thing, would it be possible to have that in house, what are the rates, exactly how does this work etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am currently subscribed to VOIP, have a post secondary education in computer networking/programing, but just do not know too much about VOIP, and what is required to start a VOIP service. Thanks, BOB

I am planning to start some VOIP related business on my own. But I don't have an idea about this field except that this is very lucrative one in the future. I would appreciate if someone can guide me as to how to go about this..How about RFID?

    Kind Regards,

Response: It is totally possible and all hardware can be located in house depending on the quality of your power and bandwidth.
To get local numbers (DID's) you buy them from providers like US Digital, MCI, etc, this DID's are regular numbers that get forwarded to you thru the VOIP gateways of the provider, usually H323, some do SIP but I guarantee that in order for you to be a player you need to have the ability to convert H323 to SIP and SIP to H323 an also codec negotiation.

    Question 2:

I have read lots about the entire calling card thing, would it be possible to have that in house, what are the rates, exactly how does this work etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Response: The same platform does prepaid calling cards, I will not name a platform specifically till I know the capacity and how far you want to get with this or what is your budget range to give you good consulting and put you in the right track of equipment to purchase.

Response: It takes more than a degree to know this market, it takes sweat, overnights, weekends and nerves to know exactly what is where and how to get there.

The way to make money in the voip revolution is with the advertisers willing to pay whatever it takes to get there name branded to a voip communicator which we do. Voip is free and it will be free just like emails because companies are willing to pay the money it costs to run the systems as long as they can advertise and capture the eyeballs of the people calling. Our system is so before its time its scary and the money being generated is more than any standard voip company will make. The catch is this if you were given the opportunity to market to advertisers a revolutionary system like voip and allow them to give it to there customers free with the company having there name on the communicator along with an icon on all persons desktops 24/7 how much money do you think they would pay and how much money do you think you would make. This would give you unthinkable wealth along with freedom to do what you want when you want. If you think this is intresting this is only some of the things we are doing. Send me a email if you want to do this for yourself.
    Regards

Send me an email and I'll do whatever it takes. All you companies out there get your name on peoples desktops and they will never forget you.

Is it available in the Philippines? I dowloaded the software from your link but somehow I cannot connect to server. We're using NAT but base on the FAQ there should be no problem.

I am currently developping a businees plan/model to re-sell Call Termination to ISPs in Africa and the middle east. I would like to find out what the best solutions for achiveing this are? and on a broader note, how do you set up a service similar to lingo or vonage? what are the technical requirements, what type of architecture does one need to build up this type of service.
