Good Morning.
I'm not very well experienced yet on VoIP business but I'm trying to work my way up and learning as much as I can. but I've come accross a very big question to myself and it's regarding compatibility of different platforms/equipments working together. I'm currently working for a small VoIP company and I've noticed they use different equipments to make things work but I have my doubts so here is my question/s Could there be any issues if you put together the following equipments to work together? VoiceMaster 2000 Dell PowerEdge Server 1850 Excel Switch Cisco 2600 (routers) Cisco AS5300 (Router) Cisco AS5850 (gateway) Quintum(s) (Gateways) I know there could always be issues with specific equipments but what I'm really interesting on knowing is, if putting THESE equipments to work together could cause problems between themselves. A problem I've seen often is the toll free / access number for callingcards going out of service on it's own and how sometimes when you dial these number and try to place a call it simply gives you a busy tone and how come calls do not terminate. There could be configuration problems which might be very possible but looking at the equipment listed above, to anyone with experience on VoIP, would you recommend using all of them or could you make any changes to have a more stable service? Right now these questions are more personal and proffesional than for business purposes as I'm just on my way up on the VoIP medium. I'd very much appreciate any suggestions/advices Thanks in advance. |
